「以前は〜であった、〜をしていた」を表す「used to」の否定形は、「didn’t use to」と「didn’t used to」のどちらが正しいですか?

The river didn’t use to be that dirty.

The river didn’t used to be that dirty.(試験などでは使用しない方が良い)

He didn’t use to study.

He didn’t used to study.(試験などでは使用しない方が良い)
